Back Squat

CrossFit is a STRENGTH and Conditioning program. Our goal is to get good at everything. Just like we wouldn’t want you to skip out on a 5k run day or a workout where we do some things you may not be great at, we don’t want you to skip our heavy days either.

About once a week we have a dedicated heavy day where all we do is move heavy stuff. Sometimes these days are more technique focused like the days we work on the clean and jerk or snatch. Others, like today, we focus less on technique (though there are still some definite do’s and don’ts) and more on loading up the body and getting stronger.

Both days are important because they allow us to broaden or consolidate our capacities and become better all around athletes.
