Overhead Squat

The overhead squat is a movement many people find challenging and awkward. Not only does is require a fair amount of flexibility to perform, it also puts a premium on balance and body awareness. It can take time to figure out and feel out where the barbell needs to be held in relation to your body and to trust the motion of sitting back into your heels on the way down. Just like with any other heavy day, spend time at a lighter load focusing on technique and consistency before trying to max out.
