When I first came to CrossFit SAC in November 2013, I was out of shape and, though I didn’t eat terribly, it turns out there was much room for improvement in my diet. In the year that has followed, I’ve established a consistent workout schedule of five nights a week and completely changed the way I approach nutrition. With the help of the coaches and fellow athletes, I’ve pushed through some of the toughest workouts CrossFit has to offer (Murph stands out in my memory), and finished even when I was pretty sure I couldn’t.
I still have many things I want to improve and goals to achieve, but I’m really proud of the fact that in one year, I’ve lost 35 pounds, gained muscle, and knocked off 15 minutes from my Intro 1 time.
