Thursday 1/15

5 rounds, each for time:
400m Run
Rest 3 min

It’s that time of year again! Time to register for the CrossFit Open!!! For those of you new to CrossFit, the Open is the first stage in qualifying for the CrossFit Games. It is a 5 week event starting February 26th, where each week a new WOD is released. Participants submit their score and are placed on a worldwide leaderboard. The top 20 men and women from most regions continue on to Regionals and top finishers move on to the CrossFit Games!

The awesome thing about the Open is that is intended to be for everyone, this year more than ever! For the first time, the Open will include a scaled division. Even better, you can participate in both the Open and Scaled divisions without penalty, meaning you stay on the leaderboard even if you need to do the scaled version of that week’s WOD.

Each year more and more people participate in the Open and find that, even though their goal isn’t to make it to Regionals, they still surprised themselves by doing things they didn’t think possible. We’ve had people get their first double unders, chest-to-bar pull ups and PR on all sorts of lifts. This is the biggest CrossFit community event all year and you don’t even have to leave town to participate!

On the 3 minute for 15 minutes
5 Strict Chest 2 Bar Pull up
6 Kipping Chest 2 Bar Pull up
7 Kipping Pull up

Do not drop from the bar. If these reps are too high start with 4,5,6 or 3,4,5.

If you did this last week, try to finish each round a bit faster than you did last time, or add a rep somewhere.
