Ten days ago we proposed a mini-food challenge, 10 days of no added sugar. This was more of an exercise in getting people to pay attention to the ingredients in the foods they are eating than it was meant to induce any kind of profound change in health. However, as the video below demonstrates, eating large quantities of sugar in a meal really does have a negative effect on the body. You can imagine how eating 3 meals a day with large amounts of sugar can compound over the years into weight gain and health problems.  This 10 day challenge isn’t meant to eliminate the cheat meals in life, but to remove the sugar that finds its way into your body through seemingly healthy foods that you eat everyday, like flavored yogurt, breakfast cereal and fruit juice.
