Sumo Deadlift High Pull @ 95/65
Overhead Squat

What you’ll notice in the video below is two athletes getting after it! Now, I’ll certainly grant you that I would prefer a better range of motion on the squats out of both of them. Dave in particular during this time in his training was known to often struggle to reach full depth though you may notice that as the workout continues his depth actually improves.

The thing I love about this is watching two people simply going super hard. It’s exactly through years of this type of intensity that Camille was finally able to reach the top of the podium at the CrossFit Games. Thankfully you don’t have to have aspirations to win the Games in order for this lesson to apply. No matter what your goals are, this is the road that will get you there.

To put it in even more simple terms, working hard is how to make progress. That’s really all we can ask for from each and every one of you day in and day out. Show up and get after it. Let us worry about instilling in you the proper technique and helping to refine your movement. Let us worry about finding the right weight and scale for a given day.

Show up, work hard, bet better. What could be more elegant than that?
