7 rounds for time:
15 Deadlift @ 135/95
5 Overhead Squat @ 135/95
We’ve posted this video before, but it’s such a cool thing to share that I had to put it up again.
The 2014 CrossFit Games recently wrapped and once again we know who the fittest man, woman and team on the planet are. That’s pretty amazing! Less than ten years ago there was no way to know HOW to test to see who the fittest was let alone WHO it was.
Maybe my favorite quote from the video comes from Matt Chan
“I don’t regret jumping up there, because it took taking a chance and being OK with failing. And that’s what CrossFit’s about, it makes people harder physically and mentally. So take chances, go fast and take chances”
There’s something in this quote that we can all learn from, myself included. We could all be more OK with failing, more satisfied by effort rather than accomplishment. Ask yourself during your next workout why you aren’t picking up the barbell yet, why you aren’t jumping up on the rig. I know I’ll be doing the same.
