Today’s WOD is another hero, this one named for a fallen FBI agent. When I see that the workout of the day is a hero, the first thing I usually think is how much it’s going to hurt, but I’m working to change that. Yes, hero WODs are “extra spicy”, but they don’t exist just for us to dread them. They’re a way that the CrossFit community honors those individuals in the military branches, law enforcement, and fire department who have given their lives in service to this country.
Also, when we were designing the new leader board, we chose this WOD to be a part of our benchmarks because our box has ties to the FBI. A good handful of our members are FBI agents and personnel who put their lives on the line for our country. We’ve hung the bureau flag in our box as well so that we can honor this agency and all it does to protect the safety of Americans. So today, lets all try to remember that if Supervisory Special Agent Gregory Rahoi could give his life in service to our country, I can push through the fatigue and pain to fight for one more rep.
