It’s okay not to PR. We’ve tackled a handful of benchmarks in the last few days, which is a great way to track progress. However, if you’ve been CrossFitting long enough you will get to the point where PRs are no longer measured in minutes but seconds. And some days, the stars don’t align. Maybe sleep was crap or you’ve been eating too many gluten free pancakes. Or maybe you just didn’t have that extra drive to pick up the bar sooner or run just a little bit faster. It happens to everyone eventually and it doesn’t mean that you are getting weaker or that you are a failure. Instead of assessing your progress based on one or two benchmarks, take a step back and look at your overall improvements. Are all WODs and movements trending faster, heavier and less scaled? If yes, then you are on the right track and keep on keeping on.
