Snatch practice up to 3 reps touch and go @ 75-80% of 1RM.
If NOT participating in the Open/not attending Saturday’s class:
30 Snatches @ 135/95

Hopefully the above is pretty self-explanatory. If you’re planning on coming in on Saturday to do the Open WOD, use today to practice skill and technique for the snatch. Note that this does not mean we’re working towards a new 1 rep-max. If you aren’t coming in Saturday, we couldn’t deprive you of some snatches, so we have the lovely “Isabel” for you.
Are you amped for the Opens? I know I am. I’m excited to see how I’ve improved over the course of the year, but I’m more excited to see how all of you have improved. Seeing people get that first toe to bar, muscle-up, or PR their snatch is just as rewarding to me as doing it myself. A lot of that has to do with the energy in the gym. As great as it is every day, it goes to a whole new level during the Opens. So this weekend when you’re watching your peers push through those 17 minutes of fun, remember that your support could be the difference in getting that last burpee and/or a new snatch PR.
