Hey guys. Calvin here. I can’t tell you all how excited I am to be working with all you athletes especially now that the opens are here. Im sure this year will prove to be even more exciting than last. For those of you keeping up with the news, Mikko Salo and Josh Bridges will be returning to the fray. And some say Bridges has a real chance to dethrone the reigning champion Rich Froning. A sight I personally wish to witness. And with the announcement that Julie Foucher will not be competing in the women’s games, this will open up the doors and allow for some powerful athletes like Sam Briggs to step it up and fight for a podium spot.

The level of hype this season has is unreal! Now, maybe some of you don’t “nerd out” quite as hard as I do for those kinds of things but we all know what the games are really about– The love of the WOD. The effort we all put into it. The pain we share as we struggle through it. The sound of our friends and competitors cheering and screaming and demanding we don’t put that bar down. The support, the community, the bonds of battle we make. They make us stronger in all facets of life. That being said I’m proud to say I’ll be available on Sundays for Open Gym. C’mon down and bring a friend. We’ll be running the Open workout and judging plus going over the movements and discussing efficiency tips to help you move your best. It’s 7 days a week of pure CrossFit goodness! See you at the 3,2,1 GO!
